Double Your Pleasure at Zoëtry Curaçao Resort & Spa

by Susan Campbell

I’ve had the immense pleasure of staying at almost every Zoëtry brand all-inclusive resort throughout the Caribbean and Mexico, and each has its own imitable boutique style. But when I go to the tropics I really prefer to stay on the sea, and every Zoëtry I’ve been at so far has been oceanfront. Except this one in Curacao. And, though it’s an elegant little property of 72 well-appointed suites with a lovely tropical pool area offering their signature Endless Privileges® array of very high-end inclusions, I was disappointed with its location. And its limited choice of on-site restaurant and bars was also a surprise. (Though they do offer 24/7 room service.) But I soon learned that they have their own beach nearby, accessible by complimentary golf cart shuttle, so off I went to explore it.

A few minutes drive away on a small cove of blindingly white sand cresting restless aqua surf sits Zoëtry’s beach. There are day beds and sunshade loungers, but it’s very new, so there are no additional amenities yet. However, I spied something very intriguing there. Lined up like dominoes along the sea cliff were futuristic looking white ‘pods’. Apparently, these are to become little stand-alone, fully furnished high-end adult-only accommodations which will be part of Zoëtry, also with complimentary golf shuttles to the main property, and with their own food and beverage service. That changes things. The addition of these unique stays will certainly enhance this island’s choices of experiences. But there’s more.

I then discovered that ALL guests at Zoëtry Curaçao Resort & Spa also have full complimentary access to everything at Dreams® Curaçao Resort, Spa & Casino right next door! (Including complimentary golf shuttle transportation.) That changes everything.

I had the opportunity to tour this Dreams when it first opened in Curacao in 2019. (And I’ve also stayed at most Dreams resorts throughout the Caribbean and Mexico,) but have yet to stay at this one. But I love this brand, their offerings, and their happy vibe. And so many included activities and nightly shows and entertainment, and this one has cool extras like cocktail making, dance, Spanish, and Papiamentu (Curacao’s native language), classes, too.

And their Unlimited-Luxury® offerings can’t be beat. This one offers gourmet and casual options at seven dining spots (where reservations are never required,) and top shelf spirits at four bars. Their water circuit has three pools, but best for me was the beach! Though the entrance is narrow, the waters are super clear and calm and full of tropical fish. And snorkeling equipment is included.

Though both resorts are family friendly, Zoëtry is very adult focused, so you’ll seldom see children on their property. But there are also ample adult extras at Dreams like a modern casino, a nightclub, and a new sports bar/brewery Tex-Mex spot. And both resorts have spas and fitness centres, too.

So, if you don’t mind shuttling around a bit, this Zoëtry offers two excellent holiday experiences for the price of one.
